Megan + Carson | Madison Wedding Photographer | Warner Park Community Recreation Center Wedding

Megan and Carson were married on June 3, 2017 at Warner Community Recreation Center in Madison, Wisconsin.  A lush lagoon and green fields were the perfect backdrop for their earthy, herb themed wedding.  The vibe was casual and a little bit boho - and couldn’t have fit Megan and Carson’s laid back and fun-loving personalities any better.

Megan and Carson first met while students at UW-Stout.  A job opportunity – and openness to adventure – next brought them to the east coast where they lived for a few years.  After realizing that they wanted to be closer to their family, they made the move to Denver, Colorado where several their siblings and good friends live.  They planned their wedding in Wisconsin, where they are both originally from and where most of their families still reside.

Rain was in the forecast all week - and even up to the morning of the wedding - but it was sunny and hot for their outdoor ceremony.  Megan did a first look both with her dad and with Carson.  They were both incredibly sweet moments that were filled with happy tears.

The ceremony was held under a huge tree and was officiated by a good friend of theirs, which made it feel very intimate. Megan and Carson each wrote their own vows, both noting that “today” was their “favorite day”, which was another theme of the day.

There was so much love at this wedding – and the first time in a long time that many members of Carson’s side of the family have all been together, which made for a fun group!  They both had their siblings and long term best friends stand up in the bridal party and it was so clear that there was no line between family and friends. They are both so close with their friends that they are simply family to them. It was so beautiful to witness these two people commit their lives to one another while surrounded by so much love and support.

The first dances were tender and sweet. After that, Sound by Design kept the dance floor packed all night – “all kill, no fill” DJ Nate said.  Yesssss!

We snuck out for a few more minutes before the sun went down.

Megan & Carson - I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon in Canada and that your new house quickly becomes a home.  Thank you for choosing me to capture your “Favorite Day”.
